GMO qPCR detection

InviScreen® GMO Detection Kit (35S/NOS/FMV)Item No.: 6014001201Highlights:Screening of genetically modified DNA sequences according to ISO 21569Target sequences are present in >85 % of approved GMOsCompatible with open platform qPCR thermocyclersUser-friendly PCR reaction setup in just 2 pipetting stepsProduct DetailsThe InviScreen® GMO Detection Kit (35S/NOS/FMV) provides a real-time PCR method for the screening of GMO DNA sequences in food and feed. The kit combines the ISO 21569 real-time PCR screening method, based on the detection of the CaMV 35S promoter and the NOS terminator genes, with the detection of the FMV promoter. The pCaMV 35S and tNOS are often present, simultaneous or individually, in many genetically modified plants, and therefore may be used to monitor the presence of a wide range of first-generation GMOs. Complementary to this, the detection of pFMV provides further information regarding genetically modified plants. The kit includes a plant-specific primer set to control the entire analytical process from nucleic acid extraction to DNA amplification. The real-time PCR method can be performed in commonly available PCR instruments with FAM and VIC/HEX fluorescence channels. Under optimal conditions, the kit provides highly sensitive detection of at least 0.1% relative GMO content.
